ROBIN LEVEILLE

ROBIN LEVEILLE

- OUTDOOR & WILDLIFE CINEMATOGRAPHER -

Throughout the past 10 years of working as a cinematographer in the greater Toronto area, I’ve had the opportunity to work with Canadian Wildlife Federation creating television episodes and documenting life in the Canadian high arctic. I’ve travelled to Baffin Island for 2 months documenting the narwhals, the polar bears, northern fulmars, and the Inuit community of Arctic Bay Nunavut. I’ve travelled for several days on snowmobiles over melting ice sheets to the floe edge waiting to capture the whales arriving and feeding under the ice. I’ve been able travel to very remote places off-grid for several months living off of my limited ice fishing skills patiently waiting to get the perfect shot of a humpback whale diving beneath the ice below us. This adventure north really fueled my desire to get outside. The time I spent alone without a camera crew really inspired me to do more and to visit all of Canada with my camera.

I moved to Vancouver 6 years ago be closer to nature and escape the big city in search of new adventures. Working in nature and tourism sharing these beautiful places is what I love the most. For the past 2 years I’ve had the pleasure working closely with Tourism Alberta, DBC, Tourism Vancouver, Rockies Heli, Adventure Canada, MEC, Telus and many ad agencies in Vancouver.

Below are brief clips of my work in the outdoors:
